You have an idea for a story, a poem, a novel. You’re excited: you know your idea is good. But before you even sit down with to write, it hits you: your idea is worthless. Or maybe you do write a few lines or a few pages, but eventually you stop, convinced that every bit of it is terrible.
Sound familiar?

This workshop is for women who want to write (or who are already writing) but are stopped or slowed down by feelings of not being good enough, smart enough, or talented enough.

Among other things, we will:

•use listening partnerships to identify sources of self-doubt

experiment with techniques for outsmarting and standing up to our inner critics

•talk about drafts, the ups and downs of writing and the value of messing around on the page

•do a playful writing exercise

•strategize ways to get support for our writing after the workshop.

If you're ready to challenge the stuff that keeps you from doing the writing you want to do, join us!

This workshop will be in English, but you are also welcome if it isn’t your native language.

Feedback from previous workshop participants:

I really got a lot out of it and appreciate the safe environment that you create during your courses.

I feel more positive about writing after taking this workshop, and I'm able to enjoy my writing time with less anxiety and self-doubt about the outcomes of my work.

It was a very powerful workshop. It was truly unexpected and the responses from other participants really impacted me. It's an interesting dynamic that it is only women and that we are all in the same boat somehow. I was very pleased and proud to be there. I'm really excited for the next workshop.
